By theway, you'll see in a minute that I'm notreally "anti-cardio", just "anti traditionalcardio".

Do YouReally Need"Cardio"Workouts?
Most fitness buffs, weekend warriors,or anyone trying to get in shape or lose body fat, consider it a fact thatthey need "cardio" exercise toaccomplish these goals. They wouldnever even question it. However, I'm not only questioning it,I'm going to refute it! In fact, you maybe surprised to know that some of theleanest and meanest people I know(men and women), NEVER do anytype of normal or traditional cardio. And I've spent over 15 years workingout in various gyms, and hanging outwith athletes of all sorts, so I've seen itall.

Do YouReally Need"Cardio"Workouts?
I will say that there can be a place for low-moderate level cardio for reallyoverweight or deconditioned people, but even in those cases, there can bemore effective methods.
But what exactly is "cardio"?
Most people would consider cardio tobe pumping away mindlessly on atreadmill, riding a stationary bike, or coasting on an elliptical machine, whilewatching the TV screen at their stateof the art gym. This is what I call"traditional cardio". Hmmm, no wonder the majority of people get bored withtheir workouts and give up after acouple months without seeing results.

Good info. Another suggestion I'd add to the list are complexes and circuit training - take some of the stuff listed and perform it back to back w/no rest! Matt "Wiggy" Wiggins http://www.workingclasscardioworkout.com
