How do we do that? One of the simplest and most powerful ways to
help our family and friends know and love God is to speak a daily
blessing over them.

The concept speaking a blessing over someone may seem strange,

but it is scriptural. It's an ancient and respected custom dating back to

The blessing you speak over your friends and family can be words
you’ve chosen or they can be verses that you’ve chosen from the
Colossians 3:15-17 Romans 16:24
Scriptures. Don’t worry about getting the words to sound just right,
what is most important is asking God to bless them with a love for Him Hebrews 13:20-21 Romans 15:13
and others throughout their day. You can actually lay your hands on
them and proclaim the blessing in person. However, they do not need
to be physically present to bless them, God will honor your blessing
whether they are physically present or not. Keep in mind though -
blessing should never take the place of prayer. We still need to pray
daily for our friends and family.
