Bakewell Tart
Pastry: Equipment:
 
100g P. flour scales50g buttermixing bowl8-10 teaspoons of waterknifemeasuring jug
 
Sponge:
teaspoon
25g butterwooden spoon40g S.R flourrolling pin25g caster sugarpatty tin1 egg large pastry cuttea few drops of almond essence2-3 teaspoons of jam
Oven:
Gas 6 / 200C
Method:
1.Put oven on.2.Rub the flour and butter together until it resembles bread crumbs. Add the water until it forms a dough, byusing a knife.3.Roll out the dough and add flour so that it doesn’t stick.4.Using the cutter make shapes and place in patty tin.
5.
Add a
small
teaspoon of jam into each pastry case.
6.
Make the sponge mixture by the All- in- One method by beating until smooth.
7.
Carefully
place a teaspoon of cake mix over the jam.8.Place into the oven and cook for 10 minutes.9.Do not eat until slightly cool.
Serving Suggestions:
Can also be made as one large tart.
