People areoften curiousabout what TheGathering isand, simply put, it’s achurch. It’snot just a Bible study, or just aservice for the ambitious heart, but it’s a real church; a smallone, but a real one. We are alittle church within a big church, and we carry a symbi-otic relationship with thatchurch. They love us, and welove them. We work both inde-pendently and as a team to fur-ther the blessed kingdom of God on Earth. Our dream in starting thisplace was to create a home forpeople who seek a deep andintimate encounter with Godand desire to create lifelong friendships. We value many things, but what I've seen is adesire for purpose, to be awareand active socially in our localcommunity and environment,to experience community andbuild it all around, loving Godand loving others. We also cele-brate the diversity of individu-als, their opinions, and theirspiritual journeys. Many of ushope and pray that over theyears, The Gathering will havea profound impact in the livesof the poor and disenfran-chised, will stand against injus-tice, will live moral and ethicallives, and will be the brightsymbol of Christ’s abounding love and peace in OrangeCounty.

PRE-SERVICEPRAYER
Join Jim Case & the prayer teamfor a powerful, pre-service prayer every Sunday morning 10-10:30am in the Chapel in the Sky(top floor of the Tower on theCathedral campus). We’d love tohave you plug-in with this group, for every great movement beginswith prayer.
SELAH
Take this time to quiet your heart,to focus your soul on the HolySpirit, and to be ready to hear from God. We are journeyingGodward finding Him in everymoment and every place. Takepart in the prayer areas, pray for friends, or step outside for abreath of fresh air. This is timebetween you and your Creator.During this time, we also have ateam of prayer elders in the veryback in the glassed-in portion of the Arboretum (behind the prayer stations). They would love topray with you over anything atall. Whether you have somehuge struggles you need prayer for or just want to pray a prayer of thankfulness, they are therefor you.
TITHE & OFFERING
At The Gathering we believe thatgiving is a personal act of wor-ship. We don’t pass the bucketor request that people bring their gift to the front; instead we havea prayer station where weencourage members of our con-gregation to give their tithesand offerings during our time of Selah.
