5. The Crucifixion
who for us became obedient unto death, even thedeath of the cross:
Let us pray. Lord Jesus Christ, who didst stretchout thine arms of love on the hard wood of thecross that everyone might come within reach of thy saving embrace: so clothe us in thy Spiritthat we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know thee to theknowledge and love of thee; for the honor of thy Name, who livest and reignest with the Father and the same Holy Spirit, one God, for ever andever.

1. The Resurrection
who hath conquered sin, hell, and death:
O God, who for our redemption didst give thineonly-begotten Son to the death of the Cross, and by his glorious resurrection hast delivered usfrom the power of our enemy: Grant us so to diedaily from sin, that we may evermore live withhim in the joy of his resurrection; through thesame thy Son Christ our Lord.
2. The Ascension
who ascended on high that he might fill all things:
Almighty God, whose blessed Son our Saviour Jesus Christ ascended far above all heavens thathe might fill all things: Mercifully give us faithto perceive that according to his promise heabideth with his Church on earth, even unto theend of the world; through the same Jesus Christour Lord.
3. The Descent of the Holy Ghost
who through the Holy Ghost abideth with hisChurch for ever:
O God, who didst teach the hearts of thy faithful people, by sending to them the light of thy HolySpirit: Grant us by the same Spirit to have aright judgment in all things, and evermore torejoice in his holy comfort; through the merits of Christ Jesus our Saviour, who liveth andreigneth with thee, in the unity of the sameSpirit, one God, world without end.
4. The Assumption of our Lady
who hath taken thee to himself:
O God, who hast taken to thyself the blessed Virgin Mary, mother of thine only- begotten Son: Grant that we who, with her,have been redeemed by his blood mayshare with her the glory of thine eternalkingdom; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee andthe Holy Ghost ever, one God, worldwithout end.
5. The Coronation of our Lady
who doth crown thee with glory and honor:
O Almighty God, who didst endue with singular grace the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of our Lord: Vouchsafe, we beseech thee, tohallow our bodies in purity, and our souls inhumility and love, that we, with her, mayreceive from thy Son the crown of life whichfadeth not away; through the same our Lord andSaviour Jesus Christ.
IV. The Ingathering of the Saints
… who doth gather his saints to himself:
O Almighty God, who hast knit together thineelect in one communion and fellowship, in themystical body of thy Son Christ our Lord: Grantus grace so to follow thy blessed Saints in allvirtuous and godly living, that we may come tothose unspeakable joys which thou hast preparedfor them that unfeignedly love thee; throughJesus Christ our Lord.
V. The Crown of Life
… who crowneth them with life that honor him:
O God, who hast prepared for those who lovethee such good things as pass man’sunderstanding: Pour into our hearts such lovetoward thee, that we, loving thee above allthings, may obtain thy promises, which exceedall that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
