Description

This is my first Legal Research paper. It's our group project-- all freshmen law students. I could not be held liable for the other parts, but yeah, you can question me for my part. I wrote issue # 1.

i wish to point out several corrections: 1.) in page 16, your research says "The vessel had been sailing in the vastness of Philippine waters for twenty four years". and pages 6-7 shows "Regardless of Princess of the Stars being the flagship of Sulpicio Lines for twenty four years." This is incorrect. The ship is 24 years old since its launch in Japan as Ferry Lilac of Shin Nihonkai Ferry Co. The ship entered service in Sulpicio Lines only around 2002-2003. It has only been a flagship of Sulpicio Lines for less than 7 years. 2.) in page 17 and 22, you stated that "some of the water seals were damaged by an onboard fire that hit the Princess of the Stars in 1997." Again, another incorrect information. It was the Princess of the ORIENT that was damaged by fire in 1997. 3.) In page 17 again, you mentioned MV Princess of the World tragedy as a navigation error. It is not. It was a fire incident which destroyed the ship and had nothing to do with navigation. 4.) in page 9, the "hole in the hull" is actually part of the ship's massive bow thruster, which helps propel the ship sideways. it was eventually corrected by the media. generally, this is a good paper. but let's be careful with the facts. in real life, this may cause problems if this was actually for a legal case.

congratulations for this research. as an experienced practitioner, i see some not so practical views but overall, and considering you are a freshman, its an excellent paper.
