NightElf 
Technical Details
 NightElf will be a single-player game on the Xbox 360.The player will lead his character through varied environments from Forrest, Coast,Urbanand Subeterantian.
The player will use stealth and trickery to accomplish his goals rather than directviolence.
The game will focus on teenage and older players.
The player will have to balance his characters weakness and strengths. While the Elvesare quick and stealth they are not strong, also the elves night-vision is equal to anyshadow but their sensitivity to light can be a handicap.
Concept
 NightElf will be a stealth adventure games that will allow the player to complete goals withouthaving to kill. The player will be presented with puzzles and dilemmas with multiple solutions.The stealthier and least violent methods used will always give the greater reward. The player will need to make use of the environment to evade capture and notice. The player can usedifficult terrain to stop or slow pursuit, other NPCs or wildlife to distract guards and illusions toconfuse and evade enemies.
Feel
The game will be from a top down perspective when the player is in an area where combat andstealth is necessary giving him a better perspective for situational awareness. The player will bein first person, with the option to zoom to third person, in social hubs. The player will seeshadows as a deep blue light and well lit areas will cause a glare that can become blinding. Thecharacter will feel at home in the shadows and exposed in intense light which the glare andchanges in ambient music will underscore for the player.
Controls
Fighting Enviroment
Right thumbstick 
Used to guide the character. The further the thumbstick itmoved from center the facter the character will move in that direction. Holdingdown the thumb stick will force the character to move slowly in stealth.
 
Left thumbstick 
Used to aim. As the character becomes more powerful he willgain abilities that will be controlled with the Left Thumbstick. At first a smallarrow will point from the character in the direction the ranged missle will fly.That can be upgraded causing the arrow to lengthen and the characters aim willimprove. The player will be able to get the ability to curve his arrows if he isstanding still. The player will need to aim at his target then hold the thumbstick down. Moving the thumbstick while it is depressed will cause the arc of the projectile to change. Pressing the ranged attack button (A) will send the projectilealong the path set avoiding obstacles.The left thumbstick will also guide magic cast by the player. Illusions will moveforward once cast, the player can use the thumbstick to try and guide its path.
X button
allows the player to access the inventory screen. This screen will allowthe player to quickly switch through available equipment and choose ammo andactive magic.
Y button
will have the player cast their active magic.
B button
will perform a melee attack or interact with an object. If no meleeweapon is equipped then the player will use this button to speak to another NPC.
A button
will fire a projectile weapon. The ranged attack will go directly forwardunless the player has used the left thumbstick to change the course of the projectile.
Right shoulder
button will cycle through equipped items.
Left shoulder
button will change the category of items the Right shoulder buttonmoves through Weapons, Ammo, and Magic.
 
Story
The Nightelves have arrived on the shores of a new land. They have left their oldhomelands fleeing from a threat they were not prepared for. Their people have been scattered asthe fled across the ocean. They have arrived on a coast that is mostly uninhabited though near several already thriving kingdoms. The character is in the service of one of the last of thenightelf nobles. She has led her people to a system of caves suitable for a new settlement. Thenew queen needs the player to help her ensure that her people will have a chance to survive onthis new world. You are the queen’s shadow, sent to do whatever it takes to ensure the nightelvescan survive. She has decreed that none of her agents will take the life of another sentient whileon duty. It is utmost importance that their new neighbors do not think of them as a threat. Mostmissions will be done in secret, the less their neighbors know of their actions the less they will beresented. The queen not only needs her agents to help tame the wild lands they have begun tosettle she also needs someone to track down the artifacts and people lost during the exodus. Shewill also send her agents on missions to improve the nightelves diplomatic standing among their neighbors. As one of the queen’s most versatile agents you will be the pivot on which thesurvival of your race balances.
World
The player will begin in the wildlands. The area surrounding the coastal caves in whichthe nightelves are making their new home have long returned to wilderness. The player willhave to help clear out the creatures and brigands who inhabit the area to allow the nightelvesaccess to resources needed to build their city.As the city grows and the player becomes more powerful the queen will send him further out, either on missions to assist their neighbors or to find and rescue other nightelf survivors andrelics from the homeland. The player will be sent to cities of other races, armed camps, hauntedruins, deep wilderness, and fortified castles. He will be a spy, thief, scout, lawbringer, anddiplomat.
Characters
The Agent
- This is the player’s character. In the old world he wasa hunter in the deepwoods. When the enemy attacked his people he served his king as anirregular troop acting as scout and saboteur to slow the enemies’ advance. He now serves thedead kings niece in the hope that she can restore their people. The agent was one of the last toleave the old world. His family left ahead of him and have landed somewhere else along thecoast or on one of the coastal islands.
