SAFETY CHECK-OUT.
After correcting the original service problem,perform the following safety checks beforereleasing the set to the customer:1. Check the area of your repair for unsolderedor cold-soldered connections. Check the entireboard surface for solder splashes and bridges.2. Check the inter board wiring to ensure that nowires are “pinched” or contact high-wattageresistors.3. Look for unauthorized replacement parts,particularly transistors, that were installedduring a previous repair. Point them out to thecustomer and recommend their replacement.4. Look for parts, which, though functioning,show obvious signs of deterioration. Point themout of the customer and recommend theirreplacement.5. Check the line cord for cracks and abrasion.Recommend the replacement of any such line cordto the customer.6. Check the b+ voltage to see it is at thevalues specified.7. Check the antenna terminals, metal trim,“metalized” knobs, screws, and all other exposedmetal parts for ac leakage.

This model is CR2032 lithium battery onboardinside on the GD MOUNT as Timer backup power.CR2032 life may be about 5 to 8 years so you havevery few need for changing to new one. But if youhave necessary to replaced to new one ordisassemble for scrapping, you have to keep yourcountry low, regulation, standard, etc. ofenvironmental assessment and safety.
