General information of handling the dual speed VFD hoist

The ER2 VFD controls an important part of safety function such as braking and emergency stop including operation. Please
observe the following safety precautions..
The VFD is designed in KITO exclusive specifications. Do not use other than KITO-authorized VFD.

Do not modify the VFD.
\u2022
Do not change the wiring.
\u2022
Do not perform a withstand voltage test or measurement of insulating resistance (megger
\u2022
measurement) with the VFD connected.
Do not shut down the power supply during operation.
\u2022
Do not connect the power supply to the output side of the VFD.
\u2022Failure to comply with the instructions may lead to an electric shock, burns, malfunction, breakdown or VFD
damage, and even may cause serious or even fatal injury.

Before performing parameter change or maintenance of the VFD, read this VFD Manual and observe
\u2022
the information contained herein.
Parameter change and maintenance must be performed by a competent person with experience and
\u2022
expertise of handling the electric chain hoist and VFD. Or contact your nearest KITO dealer.
The product is energized during a parameter change or maintenance of the VFD. Do not remove the cover
\u2022
of the VFD. Do not touch the circuit board or electrical components around the VFD.
The controller cover heats up during operation. Do not maintain and inspect the electrical components
\u2022
inside for 30 minutes after a stop of operation .
When handling the VFD, provide the protection of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
\u2022
Do not perform maintenance and inspection of peripheral parts (excluding the VFD) within 5 minutes
\u2022
after de-energizing.
Failure to comply with the instructions may lead to an electric shock, burns, malfunction, breakdown or
