Helen promised to introduce Claire to 'someone' who could help her. Tom met Claire at anagreed location and revealed that he works for a 'government department'. He assured her he and Helen hadgone to such lengths because they wanted to help her, and that they knew she would tell them what Robertwas up to. As a sweetener, he offered her £600 a week. After thinking about the matter, she agreed to givehim what he wanted.Tom and Helen prepared to pull out, but Osbourne was too suspicious of them; he sent his right-hand man,Bryon Lyndon, to kidnap them at gunpoint. Tom and Helen were taken to a kitchen at Osbourne's plant -along with the dead body of Keiran Harvey. When Osbourne arrived with his wife, Tom protested theirinnocence, but Osbourne knew Tom was lying due to Helen's lie about her 'boyfriend', although he hadbeen aware someone had been trying to infiltrate him for months. Holding Helen next to a vat of boilingoil, he then demanded information on MI5 operations trying to infiltrate far-right groups, including sources.To force Tom to talk, he plunged Helen's hand in the oil. Tom tried to convince him Bryan Lyndon wasbehind a betrayal of his boss, but Osbourne failed to believe him; he pushed Helen face-first into the oilbefore shooting her dead.When Claire, horrified by Osbourne's brutality, creates a distraction, Tom is able to escape. When he ispicked up and taken to safety, he is disgusted to learn from a government official that Osbourne is avaluable asset - keeping him alive will make it easier to track the movements of far-right groups throughoutthe country - and no action will be taken against him. During Helen's funeral, Tom and Harry enact afurther operation to bring Osbourne down. As Osbourne drives to work, a motorcyclist pulls alongside himand shoots him dead. At the episode's end, Bill Watson receives news of his co-conspirator's demise at thesame time as a collection of photographs of dead refugees washed up on a beach, presumably sent by MI5,along with a note reading, "
