with such dark agendas. Things have also become so compart-mentalized that very often the scientists, themselves don't reallyknow what the overall plan is for their work. They, too, like thepublic, are kept in the dark to a good extent. Yet I find that no excuse. It doesn't take a rocket scientist, as theysay, to know that, by working with DARPA or military fundingyou're creating something that will be used only against people –never for them. It's so very clear to me. I wonder why the scien-tists don't see this – why they don't refuse to create and discoverwonders, only to have it all used that way. Yes, it's time for a lot more waking up. We have to, on the onehand, cut ourselves tremendous slack for all the difficulty we'vebeen and are going through. If we don't finally learn to love theself, then some day we will realize that we don't have any love toshare with others. What masquerades as love is often more of manipulation and very conditional – this is not Love. For a long time none of us was overly willing to go through anydiscomfort or loss for the sake of others. Others seemed so faraway. If we could just fill our bank account by designing wonderfulthings, then what the heck – we closed our minds and our eyes towho would get hurt. Just so it wasn't us, we didn't seem to care. Now, admittedly this was due to a lot of programming. We've allbeen terribly manipulated, and when it starts to come out in seri-ous ways (instead of just dribs and drabs) there will be a lot of people with the right to be very angry. What has been and isbeing done is unconscionable. It's actually unspeakable, it's thatbad.Well, perhaps this is a part of the reason we all got together andconsented to have the world come to this terrible state. Weneeded something to give us a good kick toward awakening. Aslong as we could maintain some semblance of at least a middle-class lifestyle – as in the case of our recent ancestors – then we just wouldn't willingly budge from our complacency.Human nature – the nature of the bodies we work with, our body-mind avatars – is such that I think we all have close-to-homeexamples of this complacency – often right within our own mem-ory, our own life. For a very long time ethics and integrity hasfallen off of the table, making room for some lowly ways of being.
