STUDY: 8 OUT OF 10 AMERICANS STRESSEDBECAUSE OF ECONOMY

Anxieties about the economy are not onlyaffecting Wall Street, but also 8 out of 10 Americans. As many as 80 percent of Americans arestressed about their personal financesand the economy, according to theannual survey conducted by the American Psychological Association.Top sources of stress in previous yearswere personal finances, work and issuesrelated to raising children, said Dr.Katherine Nordal, the association'sexecutive director for professionalpractice."This year, the jump was marked inthat the No. 1 concern is both moneyand the economy," she said. "In my30 years of experience, in the past,this was not the thing that would behigh in complaint lists.Most people are driven to counselingbecause of relationship problems withmarriage and children, depressionand anxiety.But what we're seeing today is that the
