The Vision: Steps Two & Three

Since I have mostly spoken of But due to an all but certain the call to re-open the hospital in wait on my work/ministry visa, Mozambique, many have assumed my initial role will be that it is the only thing Im going administrative until permission to to do. Training local women to competently care for the medical needs in their own villages as a means for evangelism has always been the main goal. I desire to see lives touched not only physically, but spiritually as well. What good have I done if they are free from sickness but not free from the bonds of sin? Please pray with me as I step out to do this work. As you can well imagine, it is much bigger than you and me. Its a good thing we serve the God of the impossible! Love,

Merry Christmas!

Sharing the Vision!

Earlier this month, I got to share with the kids at Calvary Chapel Lone Mountain (in Vegas) about the work Gods called me to in Mozambique. I taught them about life as a missionary in Africa, got them to dance to Bongo drums, and then we all sang worship songs in Dinka. What a blast! Later on, I shared with the College & Career group and adult home fellowship. It was amazing!

Praise & Prayer

Mission Debrief
Two weeks ago I was honored to spend a few days at a missionary care center to do some final debriefing from Sudan and prepare for Moz. I didnt know what to expect, but what I found was healing and Biblically sound. Thank you Jesus and those at Haven Missionary Care Center for your healing love.

CCLMs kids praying for me after I spoke.

What is next?

If anyone wants me to share about this work at church, a Bible study, or school. Let me know. Id be honored. -- SW

Christmas Plans
For Christmas this year, I find myself back in lovely Switzerland and France where the Alps are frosted with snow and a crisp chill is in the air. What a blessing! May all your Christmases be equally chilly and white!

My agenda is getting busier by the week... but for good reason; so much has to happen before I leave in April. Check out my itinerary below to see how you can be involved this month and how you can pray. Thanks. January 6th: Speaking about Moz at Calvary Chapel Mesquite. Service starts at 9am. If you live near Mesquite, NV come hear about the work, see pictures, and ask questions. www.ccmesquitenv.org January 7-11th: Attending Calvarys missions conference at CCBC in Murrieta, CA. This will be my first time attending. I cant wait! January 28- Feb1: Learning to share the gospel with oral societies at a Simply the Story training seminar in Hemit, CA. I saw this method in action in S. Sudan and it was wildly effective. What an awesome blessing I can get this training before I go back to Africa!

Departure Date
After some deliberation and much counsel, Ive set the departure date for April. Pray the police clearances are in by then and for opportunities to share this vision with more churches and Bible studies before I go. Thanks!

Nurse Needs:
I feel a strong stirring to start praying for the nurse Ill be hiring once I get to Moz. Even though it is months away, I covet your prayers for her... for much depends on her walk with Jesus. Thanks!
