Definition of ElementalType
An elemental is a being composed of one of thefour classical elements: air, earth, fire, or water.
As cleric (Total HD×3/4)
Good Saving Throws:
Fortitude (earth, water)or Reflex (air, fire)
2+ Int modifier per Hit Die, withquadruple skill points for the first Hit Die.
An elemental possesses the followingtraits. —Darkvision out to 60 feet. —Immunity to poison, sleep effects, paraly-sis, and stunning. —Not subject to critical hits or flanking. —Can only be returned to life with
limited wish, wish, miracle,
true resurrection. —
Proficient with natural weapons only,unless generally humanoid in form, in whichcase proficient with all simple weapons andany weapons mentioned in its entry. —Proficient with whatever type of armor (light, medium, or heavy) that it is describedas wearing, as well as all lighter types.Elementals not indicated as wearing armor are not proficient with armor. Elementalsare proficient with shields if they are proficientwith any form of armor. —Elementals do not eat, sleep, or breathe.
This subtype usually is usedfor elementals and outsiders with a connectionto the Elemental Plane of Air. Air creaturesalways have fly speeds and usually have per-fect maneuverability.
This subtype usually is usedfor elementals and outsiders with a connectionto the Elemental Plane of Earth. Earth creaturesusually have burrow speeds, and most earthcreatures can burrow through solid rock.
Acreature with the fire sub-type has immunity to fire. It has vulnerabilityto cold, which means it takes half again asmuch (+50%)damage as normal from cold,regardless of whether a saving throw isallowed, or if the save is a success or failure.
This subtype usually isused for elementals and outsiders with a con-nection to the Elemental Plane of Water.Creatures with the water subtype always haveswim speeds and can move in water withoutmaking Swim checks. Awater creature can breathe underwater and usually can breathe air as well.
