Stephen E. Meltzer, Esq.
concentrates his practice in two general areas, business law and real
 
estate development law. Mr. Meltzer is certified as an information privacy professional by the
 
International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).For his business clients, he assist in the full life-cycle of non-profit, traditional and high-technology ventures including privacy regulation and compliance, choice of entity and formationdecisions, tax-exempt status, partnership, capitalization and financing, contracting, licensing andintellectual property matters, and the resolution of business disputes and other challenges.
 
For his real estate development clients he focuses on real estate development, affordable housing,permitting, land use and zoning matters, as well as the corporate, partnership and other business
 
issues inherent in the business of development.Mr. Meltzer is the founder and executive director of the Land Conservation and Advocacy Trust,Inc., a start-up non-profit organization with a mission to conserve and preserve open spaces andnatural resources by providing immediate response and emergency funding and legal assistancefor advocacy and acquisition.
 
In addition, Mr. Meltzer is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the New England School of Lawwhere he has taught Legal Research and Writing, and Internet Law and Practice.Mr. Meltzer is a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in Framingham and the Board of theMichael Lisnow Respite Center in Hopkinton. He has also served as President of the Board of theDismas House of Massachusetts, as a Mock Trial Coach in the Worcester Middle Schools and asa Human Rights Committee Member for Charles River Health Management.
