Description

Text Adaptive Resonance Theory Neural Network is a new neural network designed for document clustering. The proposed neural network was performed in unsupervised learning method. Normally, a family of Adaptive Resonance Theory Neural Network can be performed on binary input patterns or continuous input patterns. In a new proposed nerual network, it can be performed on textual input patterns. In experiments, it was applied to classify a text dataset named, Reuter-21578 Distribution 1.0. The experimental results shown that a proposed neural network can be performed on Reuter-21578 dataset with acceptable performance. This research was performed at Data Mining and Data Exploration Lab, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in Thailand (2004).
