2 Chronicles 16:9 “
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to
pray that the Lord will find our hearts fully fixed on Him and choose to continue to glorify Himself through our  family throughout this upcoming year.
is no longer a teen, but is 20 years old! Who can believe that 10  years ago she came home to her Forever Family from half a world  away in Kazakhstan? What a beautiful young lady of God she has become! Annalise continues to fulfill her desire to be a missionary to the least of these, right here on American soil, while ministering to mamas outside of abortion centers! She has been able to attend the joyful  baby showers of mamas who have chosen Life, as well as introduce other friends to this wonderful and fruitful ministry, which saves Lives and Souls!
most memorable baby shower was when she helped to celebrate a little boy whose life had been spared by his 9
grade mother! Praise God!
aitlyn is now 13 years old and is doing all high school level  work in her homeschooling studies. She is the presiding Secretary of  the 4H club, where this year she has enjoyed taking a  photography class. Kaitlyn is now in her 3
year in the Charlotte CHEA Homeschool Choir. This year she is singing alto and is learning to harmonize beautifully. She also has been using her talents to sing praise and worship music on the microphone during family ministry times at the abortion center. In February, Kaitlyn used her writing talents for a school project and ended up winning the Daughters of the American Revolution Essay Contest where she was awarded at a special tea!
than turns 12 years old in January and is now doing upper middle school and  high school  studies. He was elected as the Treasurer of the 4-H club where he has continued his 4H NXT  Robotics, Mechanisms and EcoBot classes.
Ethan’s continued love for
engineering inspired a 4H presentation
called “Computer Model 4H”, which
demonstrated how a computer uses a 7 segment number board and pixels to display images on the screen. He moved  on from the county competition to district level where he won a silver medal  in the Science and Technology division. If he had been one year older, he would  have qualified to go to the state competition at NC State.
That’s okay! There’s always next year!
rey is no longer in single digits, but double! He is 10  years old and  is working on
grade work in our homeschool.Trey continues to amaze many people around him with his impressive knowledge of dates of  historical events and minute details of  wars. His knowledge stems from his  passion for history. He would like to someday soon compete in the National  Geographic History Bee, for which he is working hard to prepare himself! Trey is becoming proficient in parliamentary  procedure in 4H. He was elected  Parliamentarian of the 4H Club this  year, and he enjoys taking the 4H NXT  Robotics and EcoBot classes.
ake is 8 years old, and doing 4
 and 5
grade work in our homeschool. He is beginning to enjoy singing more than he had previously and is learning to harmonize on a  few songs with his sister and mom. In  just a few years he will be auditioning  for the CHEA Homeschool Choir! Jake enjoys 4H, along with his siblings, and is taking a class on dogs this semester. What he is learning will come in handy when our Golden Retriever, Sadie, has her puppies in mid-December!
ulia is 7 and is doing 1
and 2
grade work in our homeschool. She is enjoying taking sewing at 4H where she was the first in the class to complete her embroidery squares. Now she wants to sew all the ripped seams and put on all the missing buttons in the household! Julia has also initiated speaking to abortion- determined mamas about how their babies love them and want to dig into that 1
birthday cake!
llie is 5 years old and is doing K5 work. In her studies, she has proven to be quite artistically  gifted and is enjoying drawing, as well as telling time, and learning phonics in preparation to read. Ellie is
old enough to be in 4H, where she enjoys working on her quilting project in the sewing class! We look forward to seeing how God will  use all these artistic talents in her  future!
udah will be 4  years old the day after Christmas and is still our rough and tumble little  guy! On any  given day you might find him in a pile of  leaves, up high (stuck) in a tree or down digging in the dirt with sticks. His  favorite activity is pretty much anything that involves dirt, speed and noise!
love for baby dolls was upstaged when she became a  joyful big sister! When she wants to hold  Emmaleigh she brings us a  pillow and  motions for us to  place her baby sister in her arms! Eva has a love for animals and enjoys imitating and waving hello to them. She also enjoys imitating her big brothers and  sisters by joining them in prayer to Jesus every night during family worship. In
Jesus name, “Mamen”!
oy is the newest blessing to our family! She was born on July 13
after the quickest labor of all  (7 ½ hours)! She is a sweetheart who smiles and   giggles throughout the day. Thanks to
Emmaleigh’s arrival, we are now fondly
referring to our family as The Metzger Dozen! Emmaleigh is a much-loved and  much-kissed addition to our busy and  blessed household!
ark continues to get deeper into real  estate activities even as his financial  advisory practice grows. This year included overseeing a complete house renovation for a property we are selling. He made some big changes to his diet and  now exercises regularly! The children, especially Judah, often join Daddy for his workout. Watching a three year old  happily imitate Daddy is great fun! Thanks to that encouragement (A.K.A.hilarious entertainment), Mark is now 2/3rds of the man that he used to be!
isa has found it equally as rewarding to continue home educating the children, while balancing the weekday family ministry and advising 3-6 people per week on how to start a similar ministry in their area of the country. This year she
also began doing “Mommy Dates” with
each of the children, so as to keep up
with the weekly “Daddy Dates” that
Mark has been doing for quite some time.
The children enjoy going to Steak ‘n
Shake for a nice big milkshake with Mommy!
omeschooling has allowed our family to enjoy field trips like a tractor ride on a
farm at harvest time, a visit to good ol’
Johnny Appleseed, a stop-in at President
James K. Polk’s home and a tour of the
local police department!
arch , we went to a three day homeschool convention in Spartanburg,S.C., called Teach Them Diligently. The children enjoyed meeting the author of  their much-loved history program, as well as spending time with  friends! Mark and  Lisa enjoyed  hearing encouraging speakers, visiting with  friends and  shopping at the book fair!
