Job Description:
The Youth Programming Intern will be responsible for developing sustainable programming for children in Broadmoor. Past interns haveformulated a strategy for youth outreach and program delivery. It will bethe responsibility of this summer’s Youth Programming Intern to planevents throughout the summer and to develop a way for youth-orientedprogramming to continue beyond the intern’s time of service. The YouthProgramming Intern will work with adult residents in the community toidentify leaders and role models to become involved with programs as they move forward.
Overview of Responsibility:

Reach out to youth in the community.-
Engage adults to serve as role models and to lead programming.

Identify space in which events can be held.
-
Plan events throughout the summer that target youth in theneighborhood.

Work with Social Work Fellow to identify families with children that would most benefit from youth programming.
Position Requirements:
-
Intern must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.-
Past experience with youth helpful.-
Highly motivated, self-directed, responsible person with a track recordof successful achievements.-
Intern must be able to work alone and with team members.-
Intern must be able to think, work, and function independently.

Must be entering junior or senior year in college.

Access to a car or bike for transportation.

A laptop or computer.

Full-time availability.
