I haveargued that Higher Love is different than base love. Here, I am using a phenomenological analysis of love and arguing that there are different levelsof love corresponding to the different levels of consciousness discussed byPiaget, Kohlberg, Fowler, Choprah, Wilber, and myself. I argue that love atthe base is based primarily upon selfishness and not upon giving, whileHigher Love is based primarily upon giving, with little selfishness.
