Christmas 2012
Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord,Greetings from Greece! We wish you, your families andthe whole Church God’s blessings during thisChristmas Season, as well as in the New Year 2013.May the Lord renew each and every one of you by Hisgrace, His Word and presence through the Holy Spirit,so that you will continue to serve Him!On behalf of our Church we would like to thank you foryour continuous encouragement, prayer and financial support for us and theministry the Lord has entrusted to us, especially duringthis time of crisis.Last September the Lordenabled us to have ourown kitchen inside theChurch!! This means wecan now serve better, faster and more often our friends who arehomeless and/or refugees. We continue to cook twice a week, for about 130people each time. There is core group of about 15volunteers who cook, distribute coffee and food, visit neighborhood families each month and pray!! Tim Sirinides – one of the Elders – continues to bein charge of this ministry; he also leads the BibleStudy each Thursday noon.On December 20, we had our special Christmasmeal. We brought everyone inside the Church andhad a Christmas program. Tim explained one againthe reason behind everything we do and welcomedeveryone. Manos Vafiadis, an ex-member of a well-known rock band gave his testimony and sang. Thepastor presented briefly the gospel message. We

were able, through the help of a Chinese Evangelical Church in Athens toprovide a scarf and a cap to each person.During November we started using as a temporary guesthouse for refugees avery small apartment in the basement of an apartment building, which wasdonated to our Church. Right now a brother in the Lord who is also a refugee isusing it. It needs a lot or repairing, but we are using it from now, after doingminor repairs. We hope that in the future more improvements will take place. We are grateful that the Lord still provides so faithfully despite the overalldifficult circumstances. Our Youth Center “Sfina” (Wedge) continues toserve the children of the neighborhood eachFriday. Young men and women from our Church’s Youth Group continue faithfully to spend time onFridays and on other days with the kids. OnSaturdays the Teenage Group and the Youth Groupgather at the Youth Center for their Bible Studyand fellowship. Neighborhood kids continue tocome!!! A few week s ago, Alexandra from Poland,16 years old, gave her testimony at our Church’s evening service. She sharedhow the Lord touched her life through this ministry and how she went to theChurch’s camp and made new friends and now she’s a Christian. Please pray forher and her family!
Please continue to pray for us!
We are still looking for a place to rent for the meals’ ministry. We are closeenough!!! Lord willing by January we will be able to do this!
Pray for the families we minister and visit each month.
Pray for the people who attend the Bible Studiesand have started attending the Church.
Pray that our Church will continue to focusoutwardly to the needs of our neighborhood, andthat they will not be discouraged by theoverwhelming financial difficulties.
Pray for the Youth Group (the picture is from the Christmas program, wherethey invited some of their neighborhood friends at Church).
Pray for January 3
rd
