Students will recognize the need for organization and why it is so important throughan activity. Students will learn what the Dewey Decimal system is and how to generally find books/materials using this classification system.

ASSESSMENT & CRITERIAProduct:
With a partner, students will complete the “Dewey Decimal System” worksheet usingthe information provided. Students will individually complete the “Dewey Decimal Scavenger Hunt” worksheet. TL will consider students successful if they are able to accomplish the abovetask with minimal assistance.
TL will observe students during the lesson and review worksheets for completenessand accuracy.
