Box counting cards is a form of game-based learning media, consisting of the card box and cards to calculate. Cards count as a medium of learning withgame elements that can provide a stimulus to the children to be actively involved during the learning process takes place. As did on TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal IV Lawang, a pattern that made learning math-oriented learning activities while thekids play so that nothing is depressed when the teacher asked the children to learnmath, the children feel happy because when the teacher asked counting thechildren were not invited to learn but to play. Research objectives to be achieved in this study was to describe the gamebox counting cards on the cognitive abilities of children in TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal IV Lawang. Through playing card box counting, children are encouraged to engage in play can develop the cognitive. So that children learn to count can bedone with the play habits of children so that children do not get bored quickly.
Data collection methods used are observation method to be used toexplain the game box counting cards in children's cognitive development. Dataanalysis technique used is the technique with a descriptive analysis of qualitativedata in the form of percentage formula. To check the validity of the data using themethod of triangulation techniques.From the calculation results obtained by the percentage has reached thetarget in the research that is 93.29%. It shows that children in kindergarten Aisyiyah Bustanul RA IV Lawang especially children, group A has mastered figure 1-20 can take part in the game especially has given to the development of cognitive abilities.
