Expansion Beloit, WI, April 15, 2011 - The Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation and the City of Beloit are pleased to announce that Clinton, Wisconsin based Alliance Development has announced that it plans on adding a 110,000 square foot addition to their existing warehouse distribution center located in Beloits Gateway Business Park. The facility is currently servicing the logistics needs of the adjacent Kettle Foods manufacturing facility. The addition to Alliances distribution facility is being driven by Kettle Foods recent announcement that they are doubling production capacity at their Beloit facility. The Alliance facility is located immediately to the east of the Kettle Foods site. The expansion project will include the installation of a covered pallet conveyor system that will allow finished product from the Kettle Foods plant to the existing and soon-to-be expanded distribution facility. Construction is expected to begin by the end of June and be completed by April of 2012. Total capital investment for the project is estimated at $4.9 million and may create 10 or more jobs.

The City of Beloit is supporting this expansion project by providing a TID funded grant in the amount of $20,000 to be used for training new employees. In addition, the City will also be providing the Company a TID funded direct developer pay-as-you-go incentive, whereby, the company will receive 10 annual payments equal to 20% of total real estate taxes paid by the company on the value of the new addition. The City will also be coordinating with the State Department of Commerce to secure a Development Opportunity Zone tax credit allocation. Andrew Janke, Executive Director for the GBEDC, said, Alliance Development has a proven record of developing high quality projects and developing strategic partnerships with local companies such as Kettle Foods.
