Moroccan Discovery, Continued:

ITINERARY IN BRIEF Days 1-3: September 7-9, 2013 Depart U.S./Casablanca/Rabat Days 4-6: September 10-12, 2013 Fez TOUR HIGHLIGHTS Arrive in Casablanca and travel to Rabat, one of Moroccos four imperial capitals and its present-day capital. En route to Fez, visit the ancient Roman ruins at the UNESCO site of Volubilis and also the youngest imperial city, Meknes. Tour Moroccos oldest imperial city, Fez, with its colorful Old City and old Jewish quarter. Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountain range with its densely forested slopes, stopping in the handicraft center of Midelt. Take a private excursion to see the sunset over the sand dunes at Merzouga. See dramatic High Atlas Mountain scenery including the Todra Gorge and the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs. En route to Marrakech stop at Ait ben-Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the medina in the heart of Marrakech and its maze of stalls or souks. Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride from Menara Park to Majorelle Gardens, a private botanical garden. Tour Casablanca with its magnificent Hassan II Mosque. Have a festive farewell dinner.
