About Judge Stuttley
Judge Stuttley served sixteen years as the first full-time juvenile court judge for Chicago’s south suburbs, which include Dolton, Harvey, and South Holland. He wasappointed by Cook County in response to the youth crime wave that came to that areafollowing the demolition of Chicago’s public housing projects in the 1990s. Today thesouth suburbs are amongst the poorest areas in the nation.Judge Stuttley has employed innovative approaches to dealing with juvenile criminalsfrom the very start of his tenure. In 2008, Judge Stuttley gave an address to the IllinoisCouncil on Responsible Fatherhood entitled “Parental Alienation from the JuvenileCourt’s Standpoint.” His rich experience both in law and in youth services make him anexcellent resource for fathers concerned about their children’s well-being.
