New Sermon Series Begins January 20
Journeying With Jesus from the Manger to the Cross
We’ve already started looking at the life of Christ in his birth at Christmas, but in the 10weeks leading up to Holy Week and Palm Sunday, we’ll be looking at various stops in his
ministry along t
he way, always asking the question of how Jesus’ presence in the world
makes a difference in our lives, and how we are called to follow in his footsteps.
Please note: This is different than what we announced last Sunday, but there has been achange in plans based on what we think will be most helpful for our church at this time.

Read the New Testament in 2013
Through the leadership of some of our United Methodist bishops a number of folks throughout the United MethodistChurch across the world are making the commitment to read through the New Testament in 2013. We will be reading asingle chapter each day, starting with Matthew 1 on January 1. We want to invite all in our church to join in this effort.Take some time later today to catch up by reading the first 6 chapters of Matthew and tomorrow you will be in sync withbrothers and sisters throughout the world reading the bible together. We have put a schedule of the readings (with links tothe scripture passages) on our web site at www.oldhickoryumc.org/NTPlan . Take just a few minutes each day to focus on your relationship with God, and to better connect to the story of faith.
