Job Description:
The Charter School Marketing Intern will be responsiblefor developing marketing material that targets familieswith elementary school-aged children. Materials willpromote the Andrew H. Wilson Charter school, which willbe re-opening at its newly renovated original facility forthe 2009-2010 school year. The new facility offers morespace than the current school building, so the school willhave a greater capacity to educate the children in thearea. Intern will organize registration drives to recruitstudents and work with members of Edison Learning,Wilson staff, school board, and the BroadmoorImprovement Association to develop materials.
Overview of Responsibility:
-Develop PR materials for the Wilson Charter School.-Communicate with various organizations to organize acoherent, effective marketing campaign.-Organize family-friendly registration drives to promoteschool and recruit children.-Maintain a presence at community events for ongoingpromotion of school.
Position Requirements:
-Intern must have excellent communication skills, bothwritten and verbal.-Highly motivated, self-directed, responsible personwith a track record of successful achievements.-Intern must be able to work alone and with teammembers.-Intern must be able to think, work, and functionindependently.
