UW vs. Stanford
Washington is 67-70 all-time against the Cardinal. The Huskies have won eight of the last nine games vs. theCardinal to draw the all-time series record to a much closer win-loss difference. In their only matchup lastseason, Washington beat Stanford at home 76-63. The win earned Lorenzo Romar his 300th career victory and100th conference win at Washington. The last time the two teams met in Palo Alto in 2011, Stanford cameaway with a 58-56 victory, which snapped a six-game Husky wins streak in the series. The Huskies have tra-ditionally struggled in Palo Alto and are 16-49 all time there. The Cardinal had won 15-straight dating back to1993 in Palo Alto until the Huskies broke that streak in 2009. Lorenzo Romar is 2-7 overall at Maples Pavilion, but holds a 14-9 all-time record against the Cardinal.
Last Time Vs. Stanford
AP (1/21/12) - Tony Wroten scored 21 points and Terrence Ross added 18 as Washington overwhelmed Stan-ford in the second half, pulling away for a 76-63 win. The Huskies, who bounced back from a three-point homeloss to California, remained one of four teams with two conference losses. Washington ran away midwaythrough the second half on the strength of a 20-3 run that included 13 straight points. Stanford never figuredout how to stop Wroten from going to his strong hand, and the freshman exploited the Cardinal defense. Hemade five straight shots in the second half.
