languages to achieve the professional prociency
in English necessary to succeed in federalgovernment positions. A key element of theprogram is the Open Source Analysis Project in
which the scholar conducts unclassied research
on topics that match their background and whichare of interest to the U.S. Government. Thisprogram provides government agencies withanalytical support while giving the EHLS scholarsan opportunity to conduct authentic research,practice analytical thinking, and master thewriting styles appropriate for professionalreporting. The program is offered at GeorgetownUniversity, Washington, D.C.Recipients of all NSEP awards must work for atleast one year in the federal government in aposition with national security responsibilitieswith priority given to service in the Departmentof Defense, Department of Homeland Security,Department of State, or an IC organization.The
