 Job Description:
Intern will provide assist with pastoral directionincluding leading Morning and Evening Prayer at theAnnunciation Mission (AM). The intern will develop apastoral program for the AM. The program willinclude orientation meetings, morning and eveningservices, Bible Studies, programs geared to helppeople understand News Orleans history and culture,and de-briefing sessions. Several variations of theprogram will need to be developed to be teamspecific: adult, youth, college, and a mix of agegroups. The program will aid the AM in reaching its goal of being a “Mission in a Box.” It will help mission teamsbegin to answer the question: what does it mean tobe a Christian (and church) in the 21
st
Century in mylocal culture? Using their experience in New Orleans,mission teams will be confronted by Jesus Christ’scall to both belief and action.
Overview of Responsibility:
-Provide pastoral care to the summer teams.-Review other national best practices.-Devise a pastoral program that includes corporateand personal worship and prayer, Bible Study,personal reflections, orientation, de-briefingsession, and New Orleans culture for: adult, youth,college, and mixed ages teams.
 
-Attend all meetings necessary to perform duties.-Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.-Perform other work related duties as assigned.
