Job Description:
Intern works with the Volunteer RebuildingCoordinator who collaborates between theAnnunciation Mission (AM), Broadmoor DevelopmentCorp. (BDC), Rebuilding Together (a non-profitorganization that provides volunteer labor to rebuildhomes of low-income families) and the numerousvolunteer groups that come from churches, schools,and service groups across the nation. Using theSalesForce databases to identify residents withrebuilding needs, the Volunteer Rebuilding Assistantwill assist the Volunteer Rebuilding Coordinator withconducting an evaluation of the residences, matchingprojects to volunteer groups, and providing groupswith the requisite tools and materials. The Assistantwill especially assist the Coordinator with thecoordination of the unskilled labor of youth groupshoused in AM. Rebuilding Together does not acceptvolunteers under the age of 17, and for this reasonthe Volunteer Rebuilding Coordinator works directlywith the 70+ youth volunteers that come weekly tolead them on projects such as painting, gutting,hanging drywall, and landscaping. This personprovides critical assistance to the VolunteerRebuilding Coordinator who is the crucial linkbetween the BDC’s Case Management system andthe volunteer labor coordinated by Rebuilding Together and Annunciation Mission, effectivelymobilizing per month 284 volunteers that provide$210,560 worth of work hours and donated $24,975worth of materials to restore Broadmoor residents
