Job Description:
Intern works with the Volunteer Rebuilding Coordinator whocollaborates between the Annunciation Mission (AM), Broadmoor Development Corp. (BDC), Rebuilding Together (a non-profitorganization that provides volunteer labor to rebuild homes of low-income families) and the numerous volunteer groups that comefrom churches, schools, and service groups across the nation.Using the SalesForce databases to identify residents withrebuilding needs, the Volunteer Rebuilding Assistant will assist theVolunteer Rebuilding Coordinator with conducting an evaluationof the residences, matching projects to volunteer groups, and providing groups with the requisite tools and materials. TheAssistant will especially assist the Coordinator with thecoordination of the unskilled labor of youth groups housed in AM.Rebuilding Together does not accept volunteers under the age of 17, and for this reason the Volunteer Rebuilding Coordinator worksdirectly with the 70+ youth volunteers that come weekly to leadthem on projects such as painting, gutting, hanging drywall, andlandscaping. This person provides critical assistance to theVolunteer Rebuilding Coordinator who is the crucial link betweenthe BDC’s Case Management system and the volunteer labor coordinated by Rebuilding Together and Annunciation Mission,effectively mobilizing per month 284 volunteers that provide$210,560 worth of work hours and donated $24,975 worth of materials to restore Broadmoor residents back to their homes.
