Creating an RSS Feed
Download and install the program Feedspring fromhttp://www.usablelabs.com/productFeedSpring.html.Run Feedspring and click on the menu File then New Feed to create a new RSS feed.In the Channel Information dialogue window that opens, enter the following information under eachtab.Under the Required tab enter:Feed Title: ............................. The title of your field; exp. My FeedFeed Link (URL):.................. The URL of your feed; exp. http://www.my-website.com/myfeed.xmlFeed Description: .................. A brief summery of your feed.

Under the Optional tab enter:Language: .............................. either en for English or en-gb for UK EnglishCopyright: ............................. your copyright.Webmaster: ........................... your name and an e-mail address.Publication Date: ................... just click Now to use the current system date and time.You do need to publish an e-mail address but it doesn't have to be your proper one. Use a hotmail ordisposable e-mail address to avoid spam.

Under the More Optional tab enter your PICS Rating if you have one. A PICS Rating is a rating forcontent that's been used on web pages for many years. You need to register your website and rate ityourself for adult content etc. and then copy the rating on every page for your website. You can enterthe PICS rating on your RSS feed here.

The rating is useful as if a parent has set their family's computer to only display safe pages then anyweb pages without any ratings will not be shown.
