Hello, Christophe.So what is summer like inBelgium?
Christophe:
Well, at firstI would like to answer you that summer is muchbetter than wintertime inBelgium because there ismore sunshine, and thedays are longer so thereis more sunlight duringthe day, but actually wealso have a lot of rainduring summer inBelgium, so people arereally upset about it, and Ithink many people alsofeel really bad about thatbecause there is rainagain.
Aiste:
Oh, it sounds likeit's raining all year long inBelgium. Which season isactually the nicest one?
Christophe:
Well, it'strue. Belgium is not acountry that you shouldvisit because of theweather because theweather is not really thatnice in Belgium.
Aiste:
So what is actuallythere to be visited?
Christophe:
In summer,it's actually nice to visitBelgium because thereare a lot of musicfestivals. We even haveone of the biggest andmost famous musicfestivals in the world,where a lot of famousartists come to sing and alot of people visit thefestival, like over 50,000people on one day. It'sreally huge.
Aiste:
Do you often go tothat festival?
Christophe:
I went tothat festival when I wasyounger, but right now Istopped going there. It'stoo crowded for me. Toomany people. Once youget older, then you don'tlike that anymore. Youlike to go to more quietplaces and smaller festivals. What aboutyou? What is summer likein Lithuania? Is it as coldas in wintertime?
Aiste:
Oh, no, it is notvery cold. Actually insummer we have plus 30,so it means from winter there's almost 60 degreeschange to summer.Further, people are veryhappy because after thewinter and after a verydark period when the suncomes out, they feel likethey can just take aholiday and everybodyhas to stop working.Everybody's really happywith the sun getting out inthe sky, and it is verypopular, especially in Julyand August. The peopletake holiday and go to theseaside and spend their time with their familiestogether while swimmingand enjoying the sun atthe beach, and I reallylike summer. I thinkLithuania looks wonderfulin summer, and anybodywho goes to Lithuaniashould visit it only insummer becauseotherwise you'll won'tbring a very goodimpression out of it.
