NON-BIODEGRABLE WASTE AND ITS DISPOSAL ---------------------------------------------------------------1.

Non-biodegrable waste is waste that will never break down into part of the ea rth. 2. Non-biodegrable waste materials do not rot easily. They do not mix with the s oil and remain in the environment for a long time. 3. There are many different types of non-biodegrable trash including plastic goo ds,synthetics,aluminium cans,glass,vinyl and silver foil are a few non-biodegrable waste materials. 4. They may take thousands of years to decompose. Until then, they choke drains, clog the land and water bodies and pollute our surroundings. 5. Non-biodegrable trash that is discarded to be landfilled will only accumulate . These objects are the source of litter and pollution. 6. The most wide reaching effect of non-biodegrable trash is the pacific garbage patch-an area of the pacific ocean which is heavily polluted with plastics and other waste. 7. Plastic debris in the ocean is responsible for the deaths of over 100,000 mar ine animals each year. Solution ---------8. One way to prevent the accumulation of non-biodegradable trash is to recycle. This is a solution that everyone can take part in. 9. Another solution to replace non-biodegrable material with ones specifically d esigned to biodegrade. There are non biodegradable forms of styrofoam and plastic.
