INTRODUCTION
This project work is carried out to understand and analyze job description, recruitment and selection process for public relation specialist.

PROJECT BACKGROUND
We as group of 9 people were divided in 3 sub-groups who have identified 3 different industry and studied their recruitment and selection process for on boardingpublic relation specialist. Findings of group 1 has been documented in this report.

BACKGROUND FORTIS HEALTHCARE


Fortis Healthcare Limited is an established chain of super specialty hospitals based in Delhi, also available in Amritsar, Kolkata, Navi Mumbai, Mohali, Jaipur, Chennai, Kota, Bengaluru, Gurgaon. For Fortis 2007 was the year of success as they listed themselves on BSE & NSE and the same year they establish new hospital in Jaipur. In 2008 they achieved profitability on consolidated basis and acquired Malar hospitals, Chennai. They also have right issue and acquired 10 Wockhardt hospitals in 2009. In 2010 they took a big step by going global by making their presence in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore & Sri Lanka.

Job Description:
Communicate with people from outside the organization. Get information needed to do the job. Communicate with supervisors or subordinates. Update and use job-related knowledge. Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media. Help communicate effectively with the patients. Setting up and supervising clinical trials. Training less experienced and less qualified staff. To ensure excellent care and service to all the patients, to co-ordinate with doctor inpatient care whenever required, complaints redressal, feedback, to ensure all appointments in time. Should be able to explain the Hospitals/Clinics/Doctors service,care and treatments to potential patients. Co-ordinate between patient and doctor in scheduling appointments.

Selection Process
Screening is done as per the requirement. Two rounds of HR interviews are conduct:- Telephonic round & Personal interview(face to face interview) Shortlisted candidate will have Interview with Department heads, where the candidates job knowledge, communication is tested by the department head. Final interview with HR Head - related to joining & compensation. Induction & Orientation Training.

RECRUITMENT & SELECTION PROCESS KOHINOOR HOSPITAL Job Title: Public Relation Specialist Educational Qualification: B.SC Must have computer knowledge. Freshers category: Bachelor's degree is required. Excellent communication skills, multi-task oriented and problem solving abilities.

Experienced category: Minimum 3 to 4 years.

Selection Process
The selection process for PR Specialist in Four Seasons involves the following stages: Preplacement presentation: A brief presentation about the organisation and its features is given to the candidates by the Panel. It also involves a briefing with regard to the job profile and the opportunities available. Group Discussion A topic is given to a group of candidates and their opinions and statements are observed and Evaluated by the panel or moderator. Extempore Candidates are given a topic or situation and are expected to take a stand or give their opinion About it, they are expected to speak about the topic for a small duration of time as decided by the panel. Written Aptitude Test: Candidates analytical and logical reasoning skills shall be tested with the help of an aptitude test, it involves basic mathematical and analytical questions. Preliminary Interview: A preliminary screening interview is conducted to test the candidates skill level in his field or domain of specialization along with his communication skills. Psychometric Test: This test involves psychometric analysis of the candidates personality and attitude. Final Interview : The final phase of the interview involves a round up with the senior management; this includes Negotiations regarding the compensation and any further enquiries regarding the job. Offer letter: The candidate is formally given the JOB offer letter which completes the selection process.

Selection Process The selection process for PR Specialist in ITC involves the following Stages: Screening/Shorlisting Resumes received from consultants and/or from the advertisements released in Newspaper/Magazine are screened by HRD Department in consultation with the concerned department. Interview Call The shortlisted candidates are contacted for interview through an interview call letter/telephone call/e-mai l or through the consultants.

Interview Shedule Interview schedule is prepared and sent to the concerned Department's HOD, Interview panel and a copy is kept for HRD Department records. Personal Data Form Any candidate appearing for an interview in the company is required to fill in his/her particulars in the prescribed "Personal Data Form" Conducting Interviews Interviews are conducted by a panel, which includes a staff member from the concerned Department and may include a representative. Interview Assessment Interview assessment Format is filled up by the interview panel immediately after the interview And all the relevant papers are forwarded to the HRD Department at the earliest. Salary Fixation "Staff comparison statement" and salary proposal" formats are used for this purpose. Offer and Appointment Letter A candidate selected for appointment is issued an offer letter mentioning the expected date of Joining. Extension of time to join duties is granted to the candidate purely at Management Discretion. A Detailed Appointment letter is issued after the individuals joins and fills the Joining Report. The offer and appointment letters are signed to all new joiners.
