BJTC and PTC accreditation - In my final year, I was part of a successful team of 12, producing a glossy 24 page spread magazine covering current business news in Leeds. I specialized in the retail industry, with determination to discover the best stories and expand my contacts book, I managed to obtain the very first pictures of Trinity Leeds Everyman cinema along with 4 of my articles. - During our broadcast module, we had the opportunity to mimic a live news broadcast. I took on the role as floor manager, the main communication with the floor and the gallery which meant working under pressure. My roles included fine picking the scripts ensuring our broadcast would flow, assisting the director with camera angles and what would look best on screen, communication with the whole team, ensuring I rehearsed my actions before the broadcast and organizing our interviewee, liasing her participation and script. - Single handily produced a hard hitting short documentary about sex selection abortions in the UK using a Sony HD camera and microphone and edited on final cut pro. Not only did I push the boundaries and taboo regarding abortions in the UK but this was an emotional journey, interviewing women who had had abortions and earning trust and building relationships with people Id never met before. -Through out all three years, I produced a news file which comprised of stories Id discovered and written articles about, investigating a range of topics from

healthy eating to illegal internet streaming. Having a get up and go attitude is essential for a journalist, it takes hard work, conviction and giving up is not an option. - Other modules included: Online Journalism, Radio Journalism, Digital Media, Professional practice, Economic, Media Law, Public Relations, Celebrity and the media, The evolution of journalism and The Public Sphere. Hobbies

Tennis and Dancing (professional level for 12 years- enjoys competing within a team and individually). Shopping (always on the look out for new trends), Indie and R&B music, Testing out new make up (from high street to high end-Rimmel to Nars) Travelling the world (lived in 3 different continents and plan to extend this in the future) and reading Harpers Bazaar, Elle, Vogue, Time (Love knowing what designers produce and what celebrities are wearing).
