Before we begin, let’s be clear on the one point, weight loss
 does not
come quickly. It isnot easy. Losing weight requires LOADS of time and patience, stamina, and dedication! There is
 NO
magic pill! But you knew that already,
 didn’t
you?Since you are reading this, I assume you have dieted in the past. Maybe you’ve lostweight too! Perhaps you’ve lost a significant amount of weight! Are you stuck whereyou left off on the last diet? Have you hit that dreaded plateau? Have you lost all theweight only to gain it back and then some? Then #1 diet killer for anyone I’ve ever worked with is lack of motivation. How do we stay motivated long enough to reach our goal???Well, I could
tell
you – but you wouldn’t believe me!I’m big on the “Just Do It” thing. I’m going to “Show You The Money” - so let’s getright to it and do a quick exercise. Come on! You’re brain is a muscle. Use it or lose it!You will get
nothing
out of this if you don’t play along!!
EXERCISE #1Step 1:
Go and look at yourself in a full length mirror – fully clothed. I want you toreally look at yourself. Take a few minutes. Don’t criticize. Don’t praise. I only want youto get an accurate picture of yourself because you’re going to need to see that
exact
image in your mind to do this exercise. If you don’t have a full length mirror, grab a recent full body (or close to it) picture of yourself and burn that image into your brain. You need to be able to see that image of yourself when you close your eyes. Once youcan do that, you’re ready to go!
Step 2:
On the next page you’ll see a picture of a landscape. Put the mental image of yourself into the scene – imagine you are there, in the picture. You may find it helpful toclose your eyes as you add yourself to the scene. Add details – what is the weather like, sounds, smells, how are you feeling, what are you thinking? Really
PUT
yourself in thescene and experience being there as best you can.As you focus on the image in your imagination, take note of the first few thoughts orfeeling you have.
Step 3:
When you are ready, click hereto be taken to the exercise on the next page.
