ORGANISING PARTNERSASIA-EUROPE FOUNDATION (ASEF)The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) adances mutual understanding and collaborationbetween the people of Asia and Europe through intellectual, cultural, and people-to-peopleexchanges. These exchanges include conferences, lecture tours, workshops, seminars andthe use of web-based platforms. The major achieement of ASEF is the establishment ofpermanent bi-regional networks focussed on areas and issues that help to strengthen Asia-Europe relations.Established in February 1997 by the partners of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) , ASEFreports to a board of goernors representing the ASEM partners. ASEF is the only permanentphysical institution of the ASEM process. Since 1997, the Foundation has initiated projectsengaging 14,000 indiiduals from Asia and Europe. ASEF works in partnership with otherpublic institutions and ciil society actors to ensure its work is broad-based and balancedamong the partner countries.ARTFACTORIESFounded in 2002, Artfactories is an international resources platform aiming to supportexchange, solidarity and cooperation between art organisations and projects inoled inempowering the social imagination.TRANS EUROPE HALLESFounded in 1983, Trans Europe Halles proides a stimulating platform for exchange, supportand cooperation between its members. The network brings together a great diersity ofindependent and multi-disciplinary cultural centres.
