The term “Human Resources” seems to me to be a bit of an oxymoron – a useful resource jury-rigged with a notional human face. (Knock, Knock, Neo … The Matrix has you!) As for Maslow's Hierarchy, we are being conditioned to expect nothing above the needs of the most basic human existence.
