Back in April of this year, I advocated during public comment to the Board of Education for athletic trainers at each MCPS . Laura Steinberg provided me with the attached June 1 memo from Dr. Starr to the Board, which provides, among other things, cost information regarding atWetic trainers in Fairfax County. (See p. 4) At a recent meeting of the Whitman Boosters Club, MCPS staff indicated that providing trainers at each MCPS high school could cost between $2 million to $3 million per year. Could you please provide me with any memoranda, email, or other documents, either among MCPS staff, or to the Board of Education, that relates to providing trainers at each high school, including any that analyze the cost of doing so.
