The Bank of America Branch Office indowntown Portland, Oregon has that warm and friendly environment, just like the art structure the building presents. The building itself isquite big with about twenty-three floors and at the main entrance thereare mini marts sounding the area. The place makes you feel as if youronly 2 inches tall compared to how tall the building really is. On the7th floor of the building you notice two large doors both on the left andright side. To enter the doors you have to a ID badge which allows youto enter the building, this way the bank can make sure that thereemployees are safe.Miss Lin, who is one of the real estate loan officers of Bank of America. Her co-workers stated that she seems shy since she's alwaysat her desk and never talks to anyone. One of her co-workers statedwith an eager look on her face looking towards Miss Lin, "She is a realhard worker. She sometimes stays at work until the security guards
 
kick her out since it's time for them to go home." She has the slenderbody with all the right curves, long elegant black hair, and someonewho dresses very professional plus stylish. She looks as if she is anasian ethnicity but cant really figure out unless you ask. She statedthat her and family came from Laos and she came to America whenshe was only 18 years old. She has been working for Bank of Americafor about 6 years now. “Freedom to work on my own time and income,”she responded with a smile in her face explaining the reason why shebecame a real estate loan officer. However, Miss Lin works more than80 hours a week and she states that she doesn't have a social life, witha sigh on her face. You can tell that Miss Lin is a very busy woman as she opens thedoor to let you in with five different colored folders in her hand tryingto figure out what folder she needs. While she greets you, she willwalking two steps in front so you don’t get lost also at the same timetrying to keep an eye contact and a conversation. Even though Miss Linis a busy person she never stops smiling, she stated that her way of going through life is taking one day at a time and fighting with all hermight. When you enter her small and narrow cubical, you can see thenumerous children's pictures on her cabinets and neatly chronologicalorder folders by alphabets. Lin responded with her slightly asian accent, " You need only yourBachelors degree in finances", and added proudly, "I didn't need to getmine since my manager believed I had the qualities to become a greatreal estate loan officer. You just need analytical skills, be self-motivatedand have great communication skills." This job also requitesorganization and communication skill, she stated while leaning over toget a cup of water.She has great strength and power in her words. She will look herclients straight in the eye and ask them numerous question regardingwhat each client desires to fully understand them. Her goal at her jobis to be the best she can be. She states many times during theinterview with the passion in her voice that her true goals are, “To helppeople achieve financial freedom through ownership.” Miss Lin has toendure a lot of traveling such as going to clients homes to work withthem, going to conventions to become more educated, going toclasses to teach new employees, meet with builders, bankers, andother real estate agents. Miss Lin responded while pushing her hair onthe side and hands on her hips, " Having to manage more than tendifferent agencies can be quite difficult. Also if anyone of them messesup the whole process is screwed up." There is a lot of face to face communication and interpersonal
