"In August, Biology and Chemistry Professor Judith Levin was awarded a $71,289 grant from the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of General Medical Sciences to continue her three-year research project, “The Effect of DNA Bending on Transcriptional Elongation by E. coli RNA Polymerase.” As a great example of our faculty-student partnerships, four Goucher students—Chandana Lanka ’10, Cassidy Crook ’10, Reema Khanchandani ’11, and Laura Marino ’09—had the chance to work on the project with Levin and travel to the University ofWisconsin for advanced collaborative research" - S.J. Ungar, Goucher College President
