Five of ourtop-notch magicians offered an insidelook at some of their specialties in around robin format. We are so blessedwith the amount of knowledge andprestige that our members possess. Iwant to once again thank Arnie, Rucj,John, Glenn and Eric for teaching ourmembers some outstanding magic andtheory. You can read about them inthis issue. We have had a great year for magicand there’s more to come. This club hasmany members who have a vast arrayof knowledge and experience. I look forward to see what others have toshow us! And even more talent will beon display at a “New Member” nightin the future. This month is “What’s New atBarry’s” with Barry Taylor, the operatorof Barry’s Magic Shop, scheduled todemonstrate the latest magic tricks aswell as some old classics. He alwaysbrings items from his shop to buy! If you have never been to Barry’s thentry to make the trip up there becausehe has one of the best magic shops inthe country.Meanwhile, it’s time to start thinkingabout what you can do to make Ring50’s Magi-Whirl a success. This biggestevent of the year for our group is now just days away. Your support is needednot only by registering for theconvention in mid-April. You also canpitch in by helping set up the day of the event and assisting in breakingdown when it’s over. There also areother volunteer assignments open.Think about helping register peoplewho are arriving or ushering the nightof the big stage show.Mike Taggert, who preceded me asRing 50 president, is the coordinator forMagi-Whirl. Contact him to see the bestfit for you to make this convention andshow a success. He can be reached at540-370-0752 or email him at

. Also don’t forgetto encourage your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to come outfor the stage showwith Jeff McBride. My year as yourpresident will come toan end in a fewmonths. As Imentioned at the lastmeeting I will be upfor taking on this leadership role foranother year or we can vote in a newperson. Normally, we would be movingup the line as other officers step up tothese leadership posts. However, thistime some of those in various offices areunable to assume leader spots that willbe open. Please start thinking about whetheryou would like to take a part in ourleadership positions. We will need anew secretary, new sergeant-at-arms,and perhaps a new vice president oreven a new president. Please think about volunteering and gettinginvolved in our Ring. If you areinterested please contact me and I willget you involved.
