This report forecasts US amines demand in pounds. Total demand is segmented byproduct in terms of:
 fatty amines
 other amines such as specialty amines, ethyleneamines, andpolyetheramines.Excluded from the scope of this report are aniline and other nitrogen compounds, aswell as amines used in the manufacture of other amines. Also excluded from this reportis hexamethylenediamine for captive nylon production.Total demand is also segmented by market in terms of:
 cleaning products
 agricultural chemicals
 personal care products
 other markets such as natural gas processing, water treatment, andlubricants.Total demand and the various segments are sized at five-year intervals for historicalyears 2006 and 2011 with a forecast to 2016. Forecasts emanate from the identificationand analysis of pertinent statistical relationships and other historical trends/events aswell as their expected progression/impact over the forecast period. Changes inquantities between reported years of a given total or segment are typically provided interms of five-year compound annual growth rates (CAGRs). For the sake of brevity,forecasts are generally stated in smoothed CAGR-based descriptions to the forecastyear, such as “demand is projected to rise 3.2% annually through 2016.” The result ofany particular year over that period, however, may exhibit volatility and depart from asmoothed, long-term trend, as historical data typically illustrate.Key macroeconomic indicators are also provided at five-year intervals with CAGRs forthe years corresponding to other reported figures.
