COLD AND FLU REMINDER:
Cold and flu season is just around the corner, so be prepared! Check your medicine cabinet andstock up on some of the basic supplies to keepon hand for the dreaded cold and flu season, and remember these general healthy guidelines:
WASH YOUR HANDS FREQUENTLY
: the Number One method to prevent the spread of cold and flu isfrequent HAND WASHING.
Keep your choice of cold and flu remedies on hand,including: antihistamine, pain reliever, cough drops, andImodium.
Keep plenty of clear liquids on hand: tea, apple juice,Gatorade, ginger-ale, popsicles & chicken broth— Jell-O, soup, crackers and dry cereal are a must.
STAY AT HOME WHEN YOU ARE SICK.
Drink 6-8 glasses of water daily; hydrate to remove toxins.Dehydration occurs easily; consult your doctor if you areunable to tolerate food and drink for more than 24 hours.
Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing.Disinfect shared surfaces to stop the spread of germs, anduse liquid hand sanitizer whenever you see a dispenser.
Eat a healthy diet that includes fruits & veggies to boostimmunity and get plenty of sleep.
