iDISCIPLE OVERVIEW
iDisciple is a digital subscription platform being developed by FamilyChristian Stores that will deliver customized, biblical, and practical content tosubscribers’ mobile devices and e-mail in a fun and intuitive way. ThroughiDisciple, users will receive personalized content for their age, stage, seasonof life, and specific needs. Most importantly, iDisciple will help users growdaily in their walk with God.
POSITION OVERVIEW
 This individual is responsible for content acquisition, identifying contentneeds for iDisciple, and making sure those needs are filled. They are alsoresponsible for quality control of all iDisciple content.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Acquire and Process Content Closed by the Acquisition Consultant
Negotiates terms, manages contracts, and content deliverables
-Content Provider Relationship Management-Development and Management of Content Acquisition ManagersDETAILED RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral Qualifications
-Results-driven-Self-motivated-High-energy-Works well within a team environment-Professional business acumen and a high standard of business ethics
Establish Critical Relationship with Content Providers
 
-Manages all content acquisition activities and processes includingmaintaining relationships with content providers, authors, and publishers.-Oversees and manages all processes associated with the iDisciple/ContentProvider relationship
Manage Content Acquisition and Publication Process
-Creates, maintains, and fills publishing calendar-Monitors traffic and analytics to determine what content is working—andwhat’s not-Makes adjustments to schedule and topics as needed-Responsible to for quality control for all aggregated and licensed content-Works with marketing to align content features with campaigns
Development and Management of Content Acquisition Team
-Daily communication with the Acquisition Team about opportunities andissues effecting content aggregation and acquisition
Specific Knowledge or Capabilities
-BA or BS from an accredited university.-Minimum 7 years’ experience in a publishing environment, preferably as anEditorial Director, or Editorial Manager-Strong leadership skills-Understanding of publishing/author relationships-Strong understanding of publishing contracts, licenses, and contractcreation-Good time management and organization skills-Research experience-Basic understanding of how to market web-based content-Exceptional oral and written communication skills-Strong relationship building skills-Tech savvy-Strong project management skills-Ability to vet biblical content-Exceptional eye for quality content
