I created a detailed mood board containing the colours, genre, and styling I wanted to use this allowed me to vision the direction I wanted to go in and helped my making stages.

For our magazine we had to make it a music magazine but were able to select our own genre so I chose pop because I felt I knew this genre well and could create a realistic looking pop magazine.

For the cover of my magazine I used a friend who I thought would be perfect for on the cover, being photogenic and then styled her in a quirky way.

I used a simple plain background for my location because I knew I wanted to cut my artist out of it anyway, We were asked to use a midshot image for our cover so I chose to use a simple and fun image.

I used simple editing on Photoshop such as the contrast and brightness because I didnt want the image to appear over edited.
