This years Reader\u2019s Choice
was a huge success. We
recieved thousands of ballots
from readers all over Douglas
County. There are hundreds of
reasons why people love Dou-
glas County, and each fall, the
Advertising Department at the
News Review sets out to learn
more about what makes Dou-
glas County a special place.

When friends and family come
to visit, you can use this guide to
help find the local favorites in
hundreds of catagories. The
results are in. The ballots are
counted.Their choices are con-

section-The Reader\u2019s Choice

This year we decided to
change the look of the Reader\u2019s
Choice section. We hope you
like the changes. The first place
winners will recieve a \u201cPlatinum\u201d
ribbon. The two runners up will
recieve \u201c Gold\u201d ribbons.

provided no nmes, only ques- tions. Readers filled in blanks with their favorites.

Since this is a write-in ballot, we
recieved thousands of names
and every name was a winner to

someone. This section lists only
the top three winners in each
catagory.

Thank-you for filling in the
blanks. The News Review asked
our readers to fill in over 110
blanks and mail them back to us
with every blank filled in. The
reward to our readers for
answering every question of this
years ballot was a chance to win
a $50 gift certificate.

Ten readers, who filled in the
complete ballot, won a $50 gift
certificate to enjoy a shopping
spree at one of Douglas Coun-
ty\u2019s favorite discount stores-Bi-
Mart. The winners can claim
their gift certificates at the News
Review office anytime after Jan-
uary 31, 2009. Winners must
have photo identification. Gift
certificates must be claimed by
March 31, 2009 or will be forfiet-
ed.
