On the Regulatory front, PTA took various decisions andperformed tasks in continuation of the process of liberalizationto create a conducive environment for healthy competition in thetelecommunications industry to best serve the interest of theconsumers.Long Distance and International (LDI) operators have agreed toset up a system jointly at PTA for Monitoring and Reconciliationof International Telephony Traffic (M&RITT). This decision wastaken in a meeting held at PTA Head Quarters, presided over byChairman PTA Dr. Mohammed Yaseen.
